Deaf-Centered Approach
I prioritize the wants and needs of the Deaf community by providing highly skilled interpreters who align with each event’s language style, energy, and cultural context. Whenever possible, I strive to match interpreters whose lived and cultural experiences reflect those of the artists or presenters, ensuring authentic, accurate, and meaningful representation on stage.
Collaborative Philosophy
I believe true accessibility happens when everyone involved — Deaf consumers, interpreters, venues, and event requesters — works together from the start. My goal is to build bridges between all parties so that each performance, conference, or live event is not only accessible but also authentically inclusive and seamless for everyone involved.

About

Hi! I’m Keelin Thomas, founder of Center Stage Interpreting and a Nationally Certified ASL interpreter based in beautiful, sunny San Diego. With over 15 years in the field, I’ve had the joy and privilege of working throughout the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community — from theatre stages and sold-out concerts to corporate conferences, college classrooms, medical settings, and everything in between. I’m passionate about bringing language to life in spaces where accessibility, artistry, and human connection intersect.

I’ve interpreted 50+ live productions and concerts, collaborating with performers, production crews, venues, and event coordinators to create seamless, expressive, and culturally aware access. Whether I’m signing alongside bright stage lights or navigating the fast pace of conference interpreting, my approach is always the same: clear, intentional, emotionally grounded communication that honors the Deaf community and elevates every event.

When I’m not interpreting, you can usually find me in the beautiful chaos of home life — with my husband, our two energetic little girls, two lovable dogs, and four very opinionated cats. Our house is loud, joyful, and always moving, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. That balance of family and passion fuels the heart behind my business.

Center Stage Interpreting was built on a simple belief: Interpreting is far more than words — it’s connection. My goal is to ensure that every Deaf consumer, performer, presenter, and audience member experiences the same depth, emotion, and clarity, no matter the environment.

If you’re planning an event, coordinating a show, or looking for an interpreter who brings professionalism, warmth, and performance-level energy, I’d love to connect.
"Whether it’s a rock concert, a keynote speech, or a Broadway-style production, my goal is simple: to make access look and feel as seamless as the performance itself."
— Keelin Thomas
